The power of daily affirmations
Affirmations are meant to encourage a life filled with positivity and gratitude, and can help you overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts. The more often you repeat your affirmations, and believe in them, you can start making positive changes in your life. Recently I decided to finally make it a habit to start my days telling myself a list of positive self-love affirmations. If there are specific goals I want to reach I write separate affirmations related to that goal.
Louise Hay said it pretty well; "An affirmation opens the door. It’s a beginning point on the path to change. In essence, you’re saying to your subconscious mind: “I am taking responsibility. I am aware that there is something I can do to change.” When I talk about doing affirmations, I mean consciously choosing words that will either help eliminate something from your life or help create something new in your life."
Affirmations are really like seeds planted in soil. Poor soil, poor growth. Rich soil, abundant growth. The more you think positive thoughts that make you feel good, the quicker you'll see results. I know it's not as easy as it sounds but one step in the right direction is already a victory, and you have to start somewhere.
So, think positive happy thoughts, simple as that!. Remember, the way you choose to think (and talk to yourself through your thoughts) right now, is also a choice.
